January 15 is the Koshogatsu (First Full Moon Festival).
In the “Saichuoboe,” the memorandums of living manners,
which has been handed down in the Sugimoto family since 1841,
Azukigayu (rice gruel with azuki beans) is described as the menu of Koshogatsu.

MenuAzukigayu with a small round mochi, white miso-soup of the Kyoto style, Ohbukucha (lucky tea served on New Year’s day in Kyoto), red and white Namasu (vegetables seasoned in vinegar), three varieties of Nishime (simmered vegetables), pickles of Kyoto
Fee– 1,500 yen for Azukigayu
