Joushi-no-Sekku “Ohinasama” – 2026 Doll Festival Exhibition
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
from February 20 to March 22, 2026

The Sugimoto Residence, a designated National Important Cultural Property and one of Kyoto’s largest traditional townhouses, over 150 years old, will be open to the public. No reservation is required.
The Sugimoto family’s Ohinasama (Hina Doll Festival) display features dolls passed down through generations since the Edo and Meiji periods. The collection also includes notable pieces such as the Genjiwaku Goten and Kyohobina, along with other dolls from the foundation’s collection.
We invite you to experience Joushi-no-Sekku as it was once celebrated in Kyoto, in an atmosphere that remains much as it was in those days.
