“Joushi-no-Sekku Ohinasan” – The 2025 Doll Festival Open to the Public
Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from February 28 to March 16

The Sugimoto family’s Ohinasama (Doll Festival) display features dolls passed down through generations since the Edo and Meiji periods. The collection also includes notable pieces such as the Genjiwaku Goten and Kyoho Hina.
Experience the Joushi-no-Sekku festival as it was traditionally celebrated in Kyoto, with dolls displayed in their historical style.

Explore original goods from the Sugimoto family that reflect the life and culture of Kyoto’s merchant class. At the tea house, enjoy our signature Kome Gelato, made with rice, and our traditional amazake made with koji (malted rice) from “Iwai,” crafted by Saito Shuzo, a historic sake brewery in Fushimi.
